How hard is it to find stocking stuffers for everyone? My mom was soooo good at it. But now that I am the shopper, I struggle. So I thought I would help you out with some of my ideas. I have another post coming out for men and women next week. But I thought I would get the kids out of the way first.

Birthday Wish List

So next week is my birthday. It kind of creeped up on me. I mean I knew it was coming up, but yesterday I realized it was soon as I need to renew my driver's license. Well get the Real ID which is mandatory in my state by a year or so from now. So lucky me that I get to spend Wednesday morning at the DMV.

Anyways, as with any birthday you see in the blogging world, it comes with a gift guide. Seriously, there isn't that much that I want right now. Basically, just give me a gift card so I can go out and buy things. Shopping alone without my girls is a gift and then buying fun stuff is another gift. But that wouldn't be fun, so here are a few things I would love to see in my hands on my birthday.

Birthday Wish List

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

ONE. I have been wanting an iWatch for quite sometime now. It is no secret that I don't like my Garmin Vivoactive anymore. I have thought about a Fitbit or another brand, but when it comes down to it, I want the iWatch.

TWO. When I went to the eye doctor with Rory to pick out his new glasses, I tried on some sunglasses like I normally do and fell in love with these green Ray Bans. Love them and a total change up from my Tory Burches.

THREE. I love Lululemon workout and leisure wear. Seriously the clothes are so comfy and nothing beats their workout clothes. I want to buy it all, so that is why a gift card would be the best.

FOUR. A few years back Rory got me blush pink Tieks and I love them. Now I want the classic black ones since I wear black flats almost daily at work.

FIVE. I love a good pair of booties and I don't have any short heeled booties in black.

SIX. I bought these jeans a couple months ago and I love them. They are so soft, comfy and hold their shape really well. And I don't feel like they are too low rise when I am chasing toddlers around.

SEVEN. I already have a daily purse, but I need a crossbody for traveling, football games or going out so I don't have to lug my big bag around. I want something simple and we all know how much I love Kate Spade.

EIGHT. I have been searching for a good pair of wireless headphones. I have read way too many reviews and I am still not sure these are perfect, but how close to perfect can I get? I love Bose and hope these would be amazing.

Father's Day Gifts

Father's Day is a little over a week away and I am changing things up for Friday Favorites and showing you some awesome gifts that you can get your dad, your husband or that special man for Father's Day.

Some of these items Rory has, wants or doesn't know that he wants.

ONE. BurgaBox. I have seen BurgaBox pop up a few times and I have been dying to try it. I thought Father's Day would be the perfect time. Especially since Rory LOVES burgers. There are so many burgers and sides to choose from, but I went with the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. It comes with 2 angus beef burgers, homemade mac and cheese (you can choose the flavor and I went with bacon jalapeno), pulled pork, onion rings, homemade bbq sauce, pickles, garlic parm fries, cole slaw and baked beans. It is a bit pricey at $65 for the box, but I figured why not. Also, for a limited time, they are doing a smaller box for $40.

TWO. We got my father in law a new cooler (Pelican) for his birthday and he loved it. And since Rory picked out the cooler, I knew he wanted one for himself. These are a bit pricey, but they have many options and last forever.

THREE. Even though I mentioned how bad I am at printing photos on Tuesday, I sometimes think ahead and get them as gifts. I recently had a canvas print made as part of Rory's Father's Day gift. I won't post the actual one I had done (until later), but I think giving him a canvas print of the girls to hang in his office will be very sweet.

FOUR. Amazon Echo. I have heard soooo many amazing things about this product. Even the funny things that Alexa says, but this is something I want and something I know Rory would want. She plays music, calls and texts for you, answers questions, reads the news, reads to you and can control things in your house as well. So cool.

We know several people who have these and love them and we have also experienced them ourselves a few times, but never bit the bullet to get one.

FIVE. Sports/Athletic/Outdoors Clothes. When it comes to shopping for Rory, I know I can always fall back on outdoorsy types of clothes. Anything from a nice sweater to hiking pants to golf clothes. Rory loves the brand Patagonia. We have an outlet here and he has bought out the store, almost. When I saw this light Patagonia jacket/sweater, I knew he would wear this in a heartbeat.

Teacher's Gifts: Mistle Toes

Sutton and Avery have recently been moved into the toddlers room at daycare. This transition came late because their teacher didn't want to give them up just yet and there was a lag of when new babies were going to start. So the girls spent part time in the toddler room and part time in the baby room. They mostly just napped and ate in the baby room, but did everything else in the toddler room.

When it came time to think of Teacher's gifts, I scoured Pinterest for the perfect idea. I showed each of my favorite ideas to Rory and he didn't like any of them. He wanted me to make (get a free printable) a cute card to go with a gift card like we did for Teacher's week in May. But I wanted to do something different. After searching some more and proposing an altered idea to Rory, he got on board.

We decided to go to Bath and Body Works and buy some of my favorite lotions, pair them with some of their lip balms and order my favorite Butter socks from Nordstrom. Then I found a free printable for the tags and their gifts came together so easily.

There is no rhyme or reason as to who got what sock with what lotion.

Note that I finally found Champagne Toast lotion in my local store. And you better believed I scooped two bottles up for myself.

I had never smelt Magic in the Air or Pink Cashmere, but I was sold on them once I did.

I searched online for a Mistle Toes printable and found the cutest one (here).

I packaged them up in Christmasy bags, added the tags and sent them off to school this morning.

I am super happy with how they came out and I really hope the girls' teachers enjoy them.

Stocking Stuffers for Her

We are 5 days away from Christmas and hopefully you are done with your Christmas shopping, but if you are not, then here are some helpful hints at Stocking Stuffers for Her.

Stockings are always the hardest part for me. Especially when you are helping your father pick stuffers out for your mother. I never know what to put in there or how my mom used to cram so much stuff in ours. But I sat down and came up with a list of things I wouldn't mind to see in my stocking.

Stocking Stuffers for Her

Sandals | Bracelet | Tumbler | Lip Gloss | Necklace | Beauty Blender | Champagne Gummy Bears | Gloves | Nail Polish

Ok, let's talk about a few of these things. That lip gloss is in Mocktail Hour and it is sooooo good. It smells heavenly, looks perfect on everyone (believe me my friends and I tested it out) and doesn't break the bank.

I am in love with that tumbler. My friends and I were talking about a tumbler that one of our friends drinks her coffee in. It said, This isn't my first rodeo. We all said it should have a saying on the other side that says wine may or may not be in here. Then I saw the tumbler above and wanted to get one for every friend that was there Sunday night. They are perfect and sum up of lives. Ha.

I always love jewelry and that bracelet sums up my life. Everyday. It sums up life with kids completely. And the mountain necklaces are just too cute.

I am a fan of Butter nail polish but only own a bottle or two of it. I saw this red glitter polish and wanted it for my upcoming pedicure. It is perfect for Christmas, New Year's and for a fun pop to your toes.

We all know my love for champagne gummy bears.

And those Ugg gloves look so cozy and comfy. If they are anything like my Ugg sheets, then I wouldn't want to take them off. Plus they work with your phone, so you don't have to take them off when using your phone outside.

Christmas Gifts for Her

I feel like I am a hard person to shop for. I either buy what I want (within reason) or I just don't really need anything. Sure I can dream of all the big priced items that we could never afford, but that just makes us all depressed. Unless I win the lottery. But that is a whole other post in and of itself.

I thought about things that I would want for Christmas and put together a list of Christmas Gifts for Her.

Christmas Gifts for Her

One. These Tahoe necklaces don't really apply to most of you since you probably don't live near Tahoe, but I have had my eye on them FOREVER. But something similar like a state necklace with the heart where your city is would be a perfect gift as well.

Two. I need a new gym badly. My zipper is pulling from the seams and it is just worn out. This gym bag gets amazing reviews and is meant for sports and sweat.

Three. I am always looking for new comfy pjs/lounge pants. When you chase toddlers around the house, you want to be comfy and not restricted in jeans. I love slipping on lounge pants after work and on the weekends and these seem to fit the comfy bill according to reviews.

Four. I have bought several friends these Butter socks and there is a reason they call them Butter socks...they are soft as butter on your feet. Seriously heaven.

Five. Several bloggers have mentioned this masque and I need a new one. It gets amazing reviews and really cleans out your pores.

Six. This cream is a life saver for me during the winter months. I always need more, especially right now. It keeps my hands soft, my skin hydrated and heals the cracks from washing my hands endlessly. It is perfect for a stocking stuffer.

Seven. Uggs makes an amazing slipper and mine could be replaced. I have had a similar pair for a long time and they held up nicely. But it is time for a new pair and these are not only pretty but they have a sole on the bottom where you can wear them outside to take out the trash or anything else you need.

Eight. Hunter boots are always a win in my book. It may not rain that much here, but you can still wear them in the snow. I got a pair last year for Christmas and I LOVE them. Enough said.

Nine. This sweater looks comfy, soft and perfect for Tahoe weather.

Ten. Last week I talked about my love for Glassybabies. You can buy them as a candle holder or a drinking glass. I have yet to buy a drinking glass, but would love to receive one as a gift.

Eleven. We all know my love for Kate Spade and her earrings are no exception. These glitter earrings are perfect for the stocking and they sell out fast.

Twelve. This year for Rory's birthday I made him a Sugar Fina custom candy box and I received a free small cube of a candy of my choice. I, of course, went with the champagne gummies. They are amazing. I could eat them everyday and that is why I want a big cube in my stocking please.

Uncommon Goods - Christmas Gift Ideas for Everyone

Can you believe that Christmas is a little over a month away? I can't. I can't wait to decorate (my husband won't let me until after Thanksgiving) and introduce my girls to all of our Christmas traditions.

But in the meantime, I have been getting a jump on our Christmas shopping and making lists of gift ideas.

I was recently contacted by Uncommon Goods for a collaboration that I couldn't pass up. They have so many unique gift ideas. They have unique jewelry, designer decor, kitchen and bar goods and handcrafted gifts. I am even eyeing a few things that I would love to receive under the tree. They have something for everyone. Even for the babies in your life.

FOR WOMEN

Whether you are shopping for your wife, girlfriend, mom, sister or grandmother, they have you covered.

I have picked out a few items that I have in mind for the women in my life. I also wouldn't mind receiving any of these either.

The bracelet has the stone made from sand. Either sand that you choose from their list of beaches in Christensen's Sand Bank or you can send in your own sand. So if you went on a vacation to Costa Rica and kept sand from your trip, this is the perfect time to transform it into a keepsake.

The coasters are made from agate from Brazil and they are beautiful.

The wine glasses remind me of some we got when we were in Mexico. They are thick and have the beautiful ombre coloring.

FOR MEN

I always have a harder time shopping for the men in my life because my father and father-in-law have everything they want or they go out and buy it. And my husband is a tricky one to shop for. But I have went through Uncommon Goods and found some items I know they will like and the man in your life will too.

The city map glass is perfect for the traveler. When I saw that they had the New York city map, I knew this would be perfect for my husband. We love traveling and NY is one of our favorite places to visit. The map is pretty amazing and a fun way to show off your city love.

The rain gauge is for someone who loves following the weather and tracking the snow and rain. We got my father-in-law a weather gauge a few years back and this would be perfect to accompany it. You can see how much it rains during any storm. Plus it is super easy to use and clean.

The yard dice are fun for parties. We plan to have a lot more parties at our house since we remodeled our kitchen. Yard dice allow you to play drinking games and just games for fun. It is the perfect item to add to your growing list of yard games.

FOR CHILDREN

I have an ever growing list of items for my girls and for my nephew. As my girls get older, shopping for them gets even better.

The Sleeper Hero gift is pretty cool. You can read the book to them before bedtime and then the doll signals when it is time to sleep and when it is time to get up. My girls are still a bit young for the light part as they may not understand it, but it will become very useful in the coming months.

The personalized book is just fun. Growing up, I always wanted things personalized and I think having books personalized to the girls with their names will make it even more fun to read.

The taco booties are just way too cute. I plan on getting my nephew either these or the hotdog booties. I can't wait to see him in these.

FOR THE HOME

These are gifts you can give a friend for their housewarming, to a family member who you aren't sure what to get but want to impress or for a co-worker or boss. These are items that anyone would want to receive.

This candle is pretty cool. It allows just a bit of wax to burn at a time. This allows you to get the most out of the candle. A three inch piece will burn for an hour. The design is unique and even has refills.

This cutting board is beautiful. I love serving cheese, crackers and meats together and this just add the nice touch to it.

So whether you are shopping for yourself, your spouse, your partner, your children or a friend, Uncommon Goods has something for everyone.
