Happy Friday all! And happy Valentine's Day weekend! This weekend it is my sister's birthday! She will be 32 and in about 8 weeks, she will be having a baby boy! I can't wait! Anyways, we are having a little date night on Saturday and I am sooo ready for steak. I just hope I can eat more. Since surgery, I get full faster and my appetite is smaller. But fingers crossed I can enjoy all the yummies.
Anyways, onto Friday Favorites and Happenings.
ONE. So I made a Valentine's gift guide for kids and then I didn't even purchase anything off of it. And that is mostly because I started thinking about it and realized that the girls needed a new swimsuit for Mexico (fingers crossed we can go). So I went searching around and saw some cute ones at Target. I even found a few for me, but I need to head into the store to buy a few to try on at home.
This is the one I got for them. And I am contemplating on buying the second suit as part of their Easter baskets. Tell me that the retro look isn't the cutest?
TWO. I also bought them one of the Dash Mini Waffle Makers. My girls are obsessed with waffles and I only have the old school large square (4 squares) waffle maker. I got them this waffle maker in hopes that I can make a ton of small waffles to heat up and eat throughout the week and I want to try the eggs in the waffle maker.
Have you seen the IG stories where someone puts an egg, cheese, salt and pepper in the waffle maker and let's it cook up? Then you can eat that egg waffle alone, put it in between an English muffin or make another kind of sandwich with it. I have plans for this mini waffle maker.
THREE. We have a Dash popcorn maker that we absolutely love. My girls also love fresh homemade popcorn, so my in-laws purchased one for them and one for us about a year ago. We buy popcorn kernels (so much cheaper) and then add butter. This maker comes with a cup to put on top to heat your butter while the popcorn pops.
We make this at least once a week as a little snack.
FOUR. And now that we are closer to Valentine's Day, I will share what I got Rory. We usually don't do gifts, but this year, I decided that we should. We have had a crazy last year and celebrating the ones that we love everyday is a great idea. And showering them with a gift here and there, makes us all feel better.
I was trying to think of something unique and fun to get for Rory and I came up with a personalized Whiskey Decanter. I did a google search and found Swanky Badger (how cute is that name) and bought him the one below. I personalized it with our last name and the year he was born.
FIVE. Weekly funnies.
Have a great weekend. I am linking up with A Little Bit of Everything.
Those are the cutest lil swimsuits. I got that waffle maker too. It’s the best and so are the Chaffles. Have the sweetest weekend of Love!! xo
ReplyDeleteChaffles. I can't wait to try them. It gets the best reviews. I hope the girls like it. Yes to the swimsuits. I can't wait to see what they think of them.
DeleteI love those swimsuits! I can't believe it's already time to start thinking about warm weather things!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it either. My Target has all the swimsuits out and I have never bought any for myself, but this year that will change. I hope my girls love their new suits though!
DeleteThose swimsuits are so cute!!!! I always get Zoe one or two for her Easter basket. We have a popcorn machine as well and it gets a lot of use. I don't know why anyone would buy microwave popcorn anymore? There are studies that it is horrible for you....and also hot air tastes so much better! Sometimes if I am trying to be "healthier" without the butter, I squeeze a fresh lime on it. It sounds weird, but is so good!!! But don't get me wrong, we make the butter A LOT over here too. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI think I need the other for the girls Easter baskets too. They are just soooo cute. I used to buy microwave popcorn and it feels like such a waste. Plus this is fresh and you know what you are putting on it. Oh I love the idea of lime on it too. I will try that. Have a great weekend too!
DeleteI've been thinking about getting a Dash waffle maker but I feel like I'd screw it up! Apparently you can "waffle" a lot of things!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that you can "waffle" that many things. I have now seen cinnamon rolls, eggs, cookies, etc. So weird. But we want to try the eggs and mini waffles.
DeleteSo exciting for your new nephew on the way AND for a date night! PS - I almost threw up at that foot picture, LOL. Have a great weekend, xo!
ReplyDeleteSo gross, right? Ugh. I am very excited to meet my nephew! But he needs to bake a bit longer. Hopefully near his due date.
DeleteEnjoy your date night and the steak! Hope your appetite returns. I love that whiskey decanter, such a great gift idea. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait! And yes. It would be a waste if I don't get to eat at least most of my meal. Ha. I hope Rory loves the gift. He is so hard to shop for. Have a wonderful weekend!!!!
DeleteI'll have to check out that popcorn machine! We make it from kernels in the microwave in a brown paper bag. Yeah, I don't think leggings are built to holster guns (or anything heavy for that matter)! Hehehehe!
ReplyDeleteOh this popcorn maker is about $19 and works soooo well. Like I said, we use it weekly and have never had a problem. No they are not. It is a funny picture for sure.
DeleteWe love our Dash waffle maker!!
ReplyDeleteIt is sooo cute. We can't wait to use it.
DeleteI couldnt figure out the hand holding! LOL
ReplyDeleteHave fun on your date. Make sure to get a doggie bag if you get too full.
My brother SWEARS by those waffle makers. He uses them every day for making breakfast for the twins before school.
Oh once you do, you realize that she is holding her own toes. So gross. We had the best time and I did take home a doggie bag. I had to. I couldn't eat it all. The waffle maker is really cool. I can't wait to use it more.
DeleteI hope you have a wonderful dinner out. I remember half hoping that my full feeling after eating so little would stick around! We're planning on cooking our own steak dinner this weekend but we'll see what the weather has to say about that. I will grill year round but not during a snow or ice storm.
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the benefits for sure! We did have a great time out! So much good food. We are the same about grilling.
DeleteThose swimsuits are so cute! The decanter is such a unique gift. Always love your memes but the one holding her feet is wrong on so many levels. Hope you have a wonderful night out!
ReplyDeleteThe girls loved them. Rory loved his decanter. I can't wait to see what he puts in it. It is soooo wrong. So gross.
DeleteI hope you enjoy your sister's birthday and have a great dinner out! Love the swimsuits you picked for the girls; praying you guys will be able to do that trip!
ReplyDeleteWe had the best time. It was nice to get out for a change. I sooo hope we get to go on our trip. I have been researching like crazy about covid tests to take before we come back and all the precautions we should take.
