Happy Friday all! Can you believe we are less than a week out from Thanksgiving? I can't. And soon it will be Christmas. In 5 weeks! I have some more gift guides coming on Monday and Wednesday next week (men and women ones). We have a relaxing weekend planned with not much going on!
Onto Friday Favorites and Happenings.
ONE. I thought I would share what our elf, Giuseppe is getting the girls this year. We are bringing him out a bit early as December 1st is a Tuesday this year. So he is coming to our house on Sunday November 29th! Do you bring the elf back each year? If so, what do you have planned for his welcoming?
A Christmas book for each girl.
Christmas PJs
Advent Calendar
And a Christmas Craft. I can't find the exact one, but it is similar to this.
I had some cute sparkly snowflake headbands for them, but my mom took them to Michaels (where I got them) and they picked them out with her. So I guess I will wear one and give one to my sister or mom.
TWO. This week we were in the mood for some sugar cookies. And I kept seeing a blogger that I follow making them. She lives in the same city as me, so she knows how our altitude can change a recipe. Anyways, she made these last week again and I wanted to try them out. And she was sooo right. These are the fluffiest and softest cookies. It reminds me of my great grandma's sugar cookies that we got every Christmas season. I did not make the icing as I like mine plain.
THREE. In case you missed it, I posted some gift ideas for kids on Wednesday.
FOUR. Weekly funnies.
Have a great weekend. I am linking up with A Little Bit of Everything.
I love the memes. Cute craft! How is it almost Thanksgiving? Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea. Time is flying by!!!
DeleteOur elf will also be coming back that Sunday! What great things the girls are going to get. I love the gift ideas. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYay I can't wait to see your breakfast. You always do an amazing job!
DeleteOur elf usually comes December 1 as well. Since I don't have to go to work, I thought about keeping the date...but I like doing it up big for breakfast and I don't know if I have the energy on a Tuesday lol. Plus Zoe's birthday is that Friday and I want to do something special for her that day too so moving it up to next weekend sounds smart. Thanks for making me think that out! Love your memes. They are all so very true. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI hate when the first is in the middle of the week. Even though I am working from home, I still have to work, so I don't have as much time. The girls will be sooo excited! I can't believe it is Zoe's birthday!!!!
DeleteFun gifts from the elf!
ReplyDeleteOh y'all are going to have so much fun this year... so many fun things planned! Our elf comes back Saturday after Thanksgiving and the kids are already counting down the days. I want to make sugar cookies with our kiddos this year, too. We've never made them. We've made tons of other kinds of cookies, but never sugar and those are some of my favorite!
ReplyDeleteMy girls too. They keep asking if he is coming back. I said maybe because you two have been really naughty lately. The sass has been real lately. Ha. These sugar cookies are on repeat. I made them again yesterday because the girls are obsessed. They turned out perfect again!!!
DeleteSophia loves Olivia books - i'll have to get her that one too!! We're decorating this weekend and I can't wait! xo, Biana BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteMy girls still love them and know them by heart. This will be a fun new one for them! I am almost fully decorated and I love it!!!
DeleteThose sugar cookies look divine! I can bake a lot of things, but my cookies are ALWAYS affected by different altitudes haha
ReplyDeleteYes. These are perfect and have worked every time. We made them again this Sunday!
DeleteLove the books you chose for the girls. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteMMM those sugar cookies look delicious! Such a fun elf plan! Lol to that grinch one. I am home alone with my dog from today until I leave for thanksgiving and it is weird to be that way again already. Have a fantastic weekend!
ReplyDeleteThey are soo good. We made them again this weekend! It is weird being home alone again. And I love my snuggles with my dog daily!
DeleteI am determined to make sugar cookies this year. I love them & never make them because its just Ricky & I but screw it - I'm doing EVERYTHING that makes ME happy this year :)
ReplyDeleteDo it! I halved this recipe and it was perfect. They are sooo good with your morning coffee too! I am doing all that makes me happy this year too. We need to!
DeleteYour memes are always so on point and make me cackle with laughter!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha. I am glad that you enjoy them!
DeleteOur Elf usually showed up the day after we decorated for Christmas (so the Saturday right after Thanksgiving) but he never brought the kids anything.
ReplyDeleteI always got pjs and a chocolate advent calendar growing up, so now I do that but add in the book.
