This week has been weird. First, I had Monday off and then yesterday off all due to someone being sick. Monday that was me with a double ear infection and positional vertigo (I am on antibiotics now) and yesterday was Sutton with pink eye. Can't win this week. At least we had a great Halloween. I hope you did as well.
Onto Friday Favorites and Happenings.
ONE. As I said above, we had the best Halloween. The girls had a party at school and dressed up as Minnie Mouse (from last year's costume) and then we picked them up early, grabbed some pizza to eat at home and got them ready to trick or treat. Both sets of grandparents came over for the fun and the girls had a blast. We went trick or treating for over 2 hours and the girls got a ton of candy. We have already been dipping into it (a lot). The girls were Rapunzel and the crowns are from our stash that we had at home.
TWO. On Tuesday we carved our pumpkins. In the past, Rory and I print off or buy stencils and go all out. But this year, we decided to just carve fun faces and next year we hope the girls join in. They did help us get all the pumpkin guts out and loved that.

THREE. While we were off yesterday, we decided to take the girls cribs down (and list them online) and put up their new twin size beds. I have been searching for twin beds for a long time online, in stores and I could never decide. Then Melissa did a review on her new Zinus bed and I had to check them out after I read her review. We got the girls a Zinus twin bed and Linenspa mattress.
We have been transforming their room, but for now, here is a glimpse.
Sutton's bed is on the right and had a towel and different blanket since she has pink eye. The bedding is from Target and I also bought them new pillows after this picture was taken.
FOUR. While I was out at Target, I also stopped in next door to TJ Maxx. I was looking for a new laundry hamper for the girls room since their old one won't fit in their room, but I found two of the cutest finds there. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation Glasses and a Canvas Reindeer Basket.

The girls beds are so cute!! I will have to remember that mattress when we get ready to switch Zoe's bed. Her crib converts into a full size bed, so I think I will stick with that maybe and just get a mattress and new bedding. But who knows, I may change my mind. We haven't purchased the conversion kit yet and it probably costs as much as a whole new frame and headboard lol. Your new case is pretty! I want the new iPhone! I have the 7 Plus and ready for an upgrade. My battery is at 50% by like noon every day, so annoying. Sounds like you guys had fun trick or treating! Love the girls costumes, so cute! ReplyDeleteOurs could convert into full size beds, but with two, we didn't have room for that. Ha. But the mattress is amazing!!! I have no idea how much the conversion kit is. Ours had a toddler one, but not the full size one. My husband has the same one as you and needs a new one too. We had a great time. I hope you have a great weekend too!

Those girls - they look precious as Rapunzel!!!! Those head crowns looks perfect with it.
I want the new phone, but I just got mine last year and 8 plus at that so hubs says no... I still need to get the popsocket, I am so behind the times. Love their beds. We may get a new mattress for E's bed since this one we have is a hand me down. And now I need a reindeer basket. Hope everyone is feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteHaha. I got one last year, but had the Next Year update plan, so it was worth it. I got that again, but hope that I don't want a new one. Ha. I love the popsocket and hated not having it for a few days. Though I never had to let the girls watch something on my phone so that was worth it. Ha. Oh the girls new mattress was a great price and it seems pretty comfy. Definitely need to go to TJ Maxx. They had tons of baskets.

The pumpkins turned out adorable. We did ours Tuesday night. I was glad we got it in… was starting to think we wouldn’t!! I can’t believe your girls loved digging the guts out; that’s awesome!!! Can they come to our house and help next year?! ;)

DeleteOOh that sounds like a nasty infection - poor you, I hope those antibiotics have cleared it up! Anything that effects your balance is horrible. I am guessing you had to do what Mums do and just try and pull it together for Halloween for two hours on the streets - the things we do!! The girls look super cute - no wonder they got so much candy! It is a killer having it all about the house though isn't it? We have to stop ourselves raiding it. Love the NL glasses. J xx
