Onto Friday favorites...
ONE. I got an email from Tom's this week and decided to check it out. They had soooo many cute things on there. I am eyeing both these flamingo shoes and this bag. So cute.
TWO. Do any of you watch Bachelor in Paradise? I love that show. It is crazy, fun and over the top, but definitely a favorite summer watch. When it was cancelled due to the sexual misconduct allegations, I was super bummed. Especially since this season of Bachelorette is kind of boring. But after an investigation, they are resuming filming. Yes!!! I can't wait to watch it.
THREE. So this weekend we are going into full force potty training mode. My girls have been using the potty for months now, but never consistently. I know it is time to get them going because they tell us when they go, they always want to go and it is just time. I am not that excited about it other than no more diapers/pull-ups. What I am not excited about is the sitting in the bathroom all the time, the accidents and the being inside all weekend. But I think it is a good time to do it as it will be hot all weekend and we should be indoors more.
So please send your tips and tricks to me. I just read over my post from last year where Lizzie guest posted about potty training. But I need anything you can give me. I want to make this as easy and smooth as possible for everyone involved. Ha.
FOUR. I have been participating in #followfriday for a few weeks now. This week I was asked by a dear mama friend of mine if I wanted to do a follow Friday. I "met" Bree two and a half years ago when her sweet son Dexter was born just a day before my girls. He was born early just like my girls and we became friends by her searching for the hashtag #preemie and #nicu. We have been following each other ever since and talk on a regular basis. I love how IG and bloggin bring mamas together.
She introduced me to some of her blogger friends and they have the sweetest feeds. Full of their amazing lives and beautiful families. So please check out these four ladies.

Those flamingo toms are so cute! Good luck potty training! I bet it won't be as hard as you think! set a timer for every 15-20 minutes and push it slowly back. that is what worked with us! Love a good follow friday will definitely check these ladies out!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with potty training! I'm sure the girls will do great. Just set a timer and stick with it. We used stickers and M&Ms are rewards.

ReplyDeleteLove that bag! And best of luck with potty training. Wish I had some tips for you, but all I can offer is some encouragement and prayers. Ha! Had a hard time with my son, but I'm hopeful that a year from now it'll be easier with my daughter. Have a happy Friday! :)
ReplyDeleteDid you see where they didnt let Corrine come back? She's apparently banned from the Bachelor franchise now. I can imagine that her daddy has lawyers all over them right now. & she has a boyfriend - WHY WAS SHE THERE?!?!?! UGH

Such a cute flamingo print and I love that bag!! Potty training is tough but I know they can do it and when one gets it they'll be excited that the other one will want to get it just as quickly. Wishing you the best weekend beautiful mama!

ReplyDeleteThose flamingo toms are amazing! And potty training... I'm all for letting them be naked and doing it outside. That way accidents are no big deal and they quickly learn the sensations of how it feels to need to go and what happens when they aren't at the potty. But I know it's a little different with boys... Good luck!

ReplyDeleteHow darling are those Flamingo Toms?! And girllll I've been wanting to talk about the BIP drama! I'm glad they resumed filming, but it shows that the cast is banking on their "Bachelor Family" fame and don't have real jobs to go back to if they're just going to turn around and go back to paradise and resume filming. But yay for us and our late summertime guilty tv pleasure :-D

I am drooling over that bag! It's beautiful! And would you believe that I'm vacating today and have determined to get my almost 3 yr old potty trained. He KNOWS. Hes just lazy. He doesn't mind sitting in a dirty pull up. He'll go when he wants though. So, today has been deemed no pull up day. It's 11 am and we are on our 4th pair of underwear. I'm going to persevere!!!!

ReplyDeleteSo they did resume filming for BIP?!?! That is SO good to know. I was crushed when I heard it had been suspended and I still hadn't heard whether or not they were going to continue. And I agree, this season of Bachelorette is lame. I'm not a huge fan of hers or any of the guys on there so far. Boo.
