Even though I am on vacation, I couldn't pass up another round of Confessions. So join me today in linking up with Jessica from The Newly for Confessional Thursday.
I confess that I am enjoying my vacation way too much. This vacation was much needed. I have been stressing about life (mainly money) and this is what the doctor ordered (or my husband). Plus we are able to have a proper goodbye to Rory's great aunt.
I confess that I finally feel more confident in my postpartum body. I have spent months at the gym, trying to eat better, having umbilical hernia surgery and getting my booty moving and I feel like it has paid off. The biggest part of it was the surgery. The confidence my doctor gave me by giving me an innie, making the pain go away and sewing my abs shut has done wonder. I am rocking a bikini as we speak in Mexico. Thank you Dr. Murphy.
I confess that even more work travel has been added to my agenda. Stay tuned on where I will be traveling. Next week will be a test run to see how I, the girls and Rory do with me being gone. Wish us all luck.
I confess that I am so grateful for everyone who has done a guest post this week and the ones that are coming up next week. You ladies rock and I am so thankful to have you in my blogging tribe.
I confess that Pearl and Monroe Boutique has been killing it lately in their Spring/Summer clothes and it is taking everything in me to not buy it all. The t-shirt dresses, button up tanks and maxis are too cute to pass up. I have been rocking my peach kimono in Mexico all week!
And those are my confessions. Short and sweet. I hope you all have an amazing Thursday and upcoming weekend. Come back tomorrow for Lindsay's guest post. It involves an amazing cocktail!
Glad you are having so much fun in Mexico. You definitely deserve it. And you are one hot momma in your bikini. Way to go girl. You should feel confident. I can't wait to read all about your vacation and boo to more work travel, but I know you guys will handle it just great.
ReplyDeleteIt was an amazing time. Thank you for your sweet comment. I love that bikini and felt great in it. I have more to go and want to keep working at it, but I felt great in it. At least my work travel is coming in July most likely. Gives us time to regroup because that one will be closer to two weeks gone. Yikes.
DeleteSo glad to hear y'all are having a great time! I can't wait to hear all about it. You rock that bikini mama!!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I had the best time and feel good about my bikini body now. Not like I want to rock it daily, but felt that I can wear it without feeling so bad. (I say this as I am eating a cupcake and pumpkin bread from a bake sale, haha).
DeleteGlad to hear you are having fun in Mexico! I wish I was on a beach somewhere right now!
ReplyDeleteIt was an amazing time. Much needed and so different than any other trip I have taken. The girls loved Mexico!
DeleteSo glad you are having a blast. You look amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It was a great time!
DeleteGirl, you look fantastic in your bikini! I wish I looked that good right now! I still have a little belly pouch from Mila. I almost wonder if I have slight diastasis recti. Enjoy the rest of your vacation! So happy to hear you're having a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I was a little worried about posting a bikini pic because of the haters out there, but I wanted to show off my progress. It is funny because Rory took a couple photos of me and you could see my drain scar (from my hernia surgery) in them. Those bottoms are low cut. Ha. But I felt better about myself after seeing myself in the photo. I worked hard and still have a ways to go, but I haven't felt that confident in a long while. So thank you! You can check the diastasis with a finger check. It isn't super accurate, but can give you an idea. Google it and it will take you through the steps.
DeleteI am so, so glad to hear the vacation is going well. You guys needed a little break. I'll be thinking about you with all the travel, and I can't wait to hear all about it. You're looking great, and I know by the end of this trip you will be feeling pretty great too!
ReplyDeleteThe break was very much welcomed. I loved going to Mexico. So memorable. I felt amazing at the end of my trip, then had some drama with our flights, but it worked out and I made it home in time to leave again. Ha.
DeleteGlad you are having a great time on vacation!!!!! You guys deserved it!! Go have a drink and relax some more!
ReplyDeleteI drank a lot on our Mexico trip. Early afternoon beer here and there. A mojito here and there. It was awesome.
DeleteYAH! Glad you were able to feel confident and comfortable in a bikini on your vacation! Hard word does pay off!!! Be sure to soak up lots of those Mexican sun rays!
ReplyDeleteKate :: A Little NW Charm
I did soak them up. A little too much at first (hello partial sunburn), but at least my girls stayed covered up. I loved wearing my new bikini. Felt great in it!
DeleteI'm so so so so glad to hear that you're having a blast! And girl, you look HAWT in your bikini! All of your hard work has definitely paid off! And finally, WOOP WOOP for the guest post tomorrow! I'm excited!
ReplyDeleteThank you. That means so much to me. I worked hard and felt that I could rock my bikini. It was hard to post that picture, but I am so glad I did. Loved your guest post!!!
DeleteI saw your bikini pic and you do look AMAZING! Amazing even if you had not had twins! I am inspired :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. You are too kind!!!
DeleteSo much amazing travel coming up! Glad to hear vacation is treating you well, mama!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sara. It was a great trip. So happy to spend 8 days with my family non-stop!!!
DeleteMoney worries are the worst. I'm so glad you're getting a little break.
ReplyDeleteYes they are. So glad that my trip is done (got a little extra overtime which will help with the money worries) and I can relax a bit.
DeleteI hope you are having the best time on vacation. Can’t wait to hear where you are traveling to next.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It was an amazing trip and then I went to Israel for work. So much fun.
